This is EASILY the best recipe I’ve ever made – human and dog wise. This super easy treat is great for helping your pups cool off in the middle of summer. Read below to find out how to make these tasty treats your dogs will love!

I knew I wanted my dogs to stay cool in this intense heat but couldn’t keep giving them Frosty Paws every day – as much as they would love that! Some of you may know I’m crazy about DIY projects and that will never change, so I decided to make my own DIY creation with the help of Pinterest (of course).

You only need two easy ingredients and about an hour and a half of freezer time to make these delicious treats.

What You’ll Need

  • Watermelon (scooped out with no seeds)
  • 1 can of Coconut Milk
  • Blender
  • Cute dog themed molds (optional!)

I used an ice cream spoon to scoop out the watermelon and unless you want a watermelon growing out of yours dogs stomach I suggest you remove all seeds before blending. (Did anyone else’s parents ever tell them that as a kid?)

I used a Ninja blender to mix the ingredients and it took about 2 seconds total. I absolutely love the Ninja for all of my mixing needs – even when you are using a lot of ice!

And if it happens that you make a mess, just go with it.

I didn’t like how orange the color turned out, so I made another batch with much more watermelon and a lot less coconut milk. They both tasted pretty much the same.

I bought both of these molds from Amazon for a really good price! They worked just as I thought they would and I can’t wait to use them on more projects.
I actually ended up leaving the pupsicles in the freezer for about 3 or 4 hours because I forgot about them (whoops) but they were perfect when I popped them out of the mold and put them in a bowl for easier serving.

They were a HUGE hit in the household and not only with the dogs. I tried them for myself, being the watermelon lover that I am, and absolutely LOVED them! The dogs were probably mad that I was eating treats meant for them but you gotta do what you gotta do.
